Welcome to Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center
 WE are VALESKA!
The Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center is a school for
birth to six-year-old children and their families. This early childhood
program provides care and education in a developmentally appropriate
NAEYC accredited “laboratory school”. Guided by the philosophy that
“all children can learn,” Valeska operates year round serving 400
at-risk children from all areas of Peoria School District.
“It takes a whole village to raise a child” - African Proverb. To
gain accelerated development of social, emotional, language, and
cognitive ability in a secure and stable environment, children enter the
center and join one of the four “villages”. Valeska’s
“villages” serve as a hub for many family and community
activities. Our school is a place where everyone goes to learn.
In other words, we are dedicated to an inclusive approach to education
where family, community, and school assume the important roles of
developing the whole child!
